Light
Lighting is important so make sure you place the plant in it’s preferred lighting conditions. Don’t worry, if the plant isn’t happy you will know. If your plant is getting too much light, it will have sunspots and it will literally have a sunburn. If your plant isn’t getting enough light, it won’t grow.
Window Direction
North Facing
North facing windows do not receive direct sunlight at any time of day. They receive consistently medium and sometimes short periods of bright light.
South Facing
South facing windows receive the most light. The sun rises in the east, the sun’s rays enter south facing windows from morning to afternoon. South facing windows provide a good deal of bright light and longer periods of direct light.
East Facing
East facing windows receive sunlight in the morning. This light is typically soft making these windows a great match for plants that thrive in indirect bright light.
West Facing
West facing windows receive the sun from mid-day to the evening. The light received by these windows is very strong when direct, so only direct light loving plants should be placed where the direct sunlight hits
