Water
Proper watering is vital to the life of your plant. Over-watering or under-watering is a super common death sentence for your plant. Don’t get overwhelmed. It’s easy to tell if your plant needs water because leaves will be limp and weak. The good news is that you can usually mend an under watered plant back to its perky self.
Pots
Proper pots are crucial to your plants health and watering. You can keep in the nursery pot, or you can replant into something more decorative. Make sure there’s drainage holes in your pots. Drainage is important so your plant doesn’t stay wet. Plants like to dry out and if the soil is constantly wet, their roots will rot and turn to mush.
Watering
Overwatering isn’t as easy to overcome. Usually if a plant is too wet for too long, roots rot and you should probably start planning its funeral (Kidding… kind of). Overwatering is not impossible to reverse but difficult. Remember those draining holes and quality, well-draining soil we discussed above??? Those will come in handy when watering. If you tend to always be an over waterer, consider using terra cotta pots because they absorb moisture in the soil.
Schedule
Create a watering schedule that works for you. Water Wednesday? Thirsty Thursday? Saturate Saturday? Pick one that fits your schedule.
